Music Box Sessions #1 | Traditional Band
ECMS is pleased to present a new series of videos showcasing the wide range of talented musicians studying and performing at Edinburgh College. The Music Box Sessions is a weekly studio session recorded and mixed by learning assistant Sarah May and filmed and edited by lecturer Scott Hannah. To kick things off, the Edinburgh College Traditional Music Band perform 'After Aberlour' and 'Serendipity'.

Music Box Sessions #2 | Chamber Choir
Happy Valentine’s Day! This week’s Music Box Session features the college Chamber Choir, led by lecturer Jon-Luke Kirton, with a performance of the song Valentine. We all had loads of fun recording this! The Music Box Sessions, produced by learning assistant Sarah May and lecturer Scott Hannah, is a weekly recording session created with the intention of giving students more studio experience and showcasing some of the amazing musicians, ensembles and bands learning at Edinburgh College. Music Box Sessions #3 | Kalamité Clarinet Quartet
This week's Music Box Session features the student lead Kalamité Clarinet Quartet. Formed in 2021 by Claire Graham, Douglas McNeill, Laura McKay and Rachel Shaw, they are all second year HND Music students at the college. Here they are performing one of their own arrangements - "The Longest Time" by Billy Joel. Music Box Sessions #4 | Shrek 2 Director's Cut
This week's Music Box Session is from the Level 6 live performance showcase at the end of February. The band are made up of Emma, Matti, Iain, Michael, David and Jack from NC6. Here they are performing 'Waiting On The World To Change' by John Mayer. The Saxophone Ensemble, lead by lecturer Rocio, star in this week's Music Box Session. Performing The Cantina Song composed by John Williams. Music Box Sessions #6 | String Ensemble
The String Ensemble are the stars of this week's Music Box Session, taught by Katrina and conducted by Laurie. They perform Larghetto from Serenade for Strings by Edward Elgar. You can see the string ensemble and all our small and large ensembles performing at The Music Box on the 31st March and at Cannongate Kirk on the 6th April. Check Facebook to find out more! Before the fantastic Voodoo Rooms showcase this week, Scott and Sarah were filming the HN1s in the Music Box Auditorium and this week, Wonder Soul feature in the Music Box Sessions. Performing a cover of The Man Who Sold the World by Nirvana. This week's Music Box Session brings us to the auditorium to see the Concert Band in action. One of our larger ensembles, led by Rocio, they give us a lively rendition of Tequila by The Champs.
