Out The Box Fest 2025 Is Over!

120 students, 20 bands, 4 nights, 12 hours of performances, 600 audience members, 4300 photos, very little sleep! Our first ever Out The Box Fest has been an incredible success! We'd like to give a huge thank you to The Mash House and their amazing sound engineers, security and bar staff for helping make it all happen. Thanks to all the audience members who came along to support, cheer, dance and create such an incredible atmosphere every night. And of course thanks to every single student who gave it their all each night and worked so hard. We're all very proud here at Edinburgh College Music!

So what's next for Out The Box Fest? More venues? More bands? More styles of music? We've got big plans for OTB in the future and we'll be working hard between now and next year to make it bigger and better than ever.

In the meantime, this website won't sit unused until the next festival. There will be a page dedicated to our weekly Music Box Sessions coming soon, information about college opportunities like open mics and maybe even some behind the scenes footage from our upcoming classical tour!
